2002 Grant Program
Restoration, Rehabilitation, and Enhancement Projects
Nineteen restoration projects totaling $1,510,390 were funded this
year in Modoc, Shasta, and Siskiyou counties. This amount represents 69%
of the Councils 2002 grant program expenditure.

Tate Creek Restoration Project U.S. Forest Service, Siskiyou
County $155,500
To restore and enhance aquatic and riparian habitats in the Tate
Creek Riparian Reserve, focusing on restoring channel stability
and improving habitat conditions for redband trout.
Upper Big Bear Restoration Project Phase II Fall River
RCD, Shasta County $544,004
To stabilize upper Big Bear Creek, the main tributary to Fall River,
by relocating the existing stream to a stable channel.
Wagon Creek Fish Passage Enhancement Project CalTrout,
Siskiyou County $78,480
To improve fishery conditions in Wagon Creek, a tributary to Lake
Siskiyou, by restoring fish passage capability at the North Shore
Road crossing.
